Another nice sightseeing day up the Knik with Hanna... It's been so clear we've been going up every other day or so around sunset. Cold though - it was 5 on the ground.
Here are some sculptures I made last week at my wife's request after she came home with a bunch of junk from the feed store. The cast gears stick welded OK with my AC welder, which surprised me - I thought they'd crack.
I took the kids to Kenai Lake the other day and we walked around Quartz Creek campground. A bit rainy and cold but fun - saw bear tracks by the lake and an Eagle up close. I tried to get there over Lake George and couldn't make it so we went back and around over Resurrection Trail so it took about 1.7 hrs to get there.
Hanna picked out this material at Wal-Mart and Julie made the skirt. She said she wanted to wear it with her Halloween shirt. Julie didn't use a pattern.... it took 3-1/2 hours to make. Hanna likes twirling it.
